  6:58:00 PM honestly speaking (after a long thought)..the fact that we're able to have a job, which actually has no inkling with what our diploma states, regardless of the environment and location, is already a good thing.and yet, i'm told that i was a "good" friend for introducing such a job to another.yes, de location is off, there're aren't many choices when it comes to food, but seriously, if we're able to find a job in a good location after all this search, do i need to introduce such a job with this location to another?call it selfish or dumb, but since i'm not able to stay in that place alone, why not get somebody else who doesn't mind to be with me?it's not like i even forced her to be there with me.i'm giving her a choice, letting her know details before letting her make HER OWN decision.is that considered a bad friend?strictly speaking, the environment isn't that bad considering that we still work in the office with air-condition.it's just the many rules and the isolation of the location.the people there aren't even bad or nasty to you.that person she mentioned, hardly comes by..so it isn't a concern to me.which also, can be taken into consideration by the one i introduced to. what we have is a diploma in multimedia animation.and seriously, the jobs we're looking for has not even a slightest link to the diploma we hold.so what it is to our future employers??it's just a piece of paper to prove that you're one level above those who has to look for blue-collar jobs.am i wrong in saying that?if we're looking for a job in that industry then yes, it is a big deal.but honestly..look at where we are now.the job i'm holding now, may not be able to advance out further, but it is something to start with.it may be a bit tad more physically tiring then your's, but to that individual i introduced to, it can also be a start for her. it's just a case of different opinions.but to state that "i'm such a good friend for introducing such a 'good' job to her", isn't it a bit too harsh?that sentence may not mean anything to you, but it means a great deal to me because it not only questions my friendship with that individual, but also, a slap to my dignity as her longtime friend. |
